North Carolina Winter Wonderland

Ah… Winter. The bulk of the tourists have cleared out of the town, and a peaceful quiet has settled. With the leaves down, you can fully see the exquisite contours of the mountains all around. The color of the river sometimes acquires a beautiful emerald hue from above, and the air is so fresh.

The town of Hot Springs has a surprisingly low elevation (about 1200 ft), and this allows winters to be more mild than most people expect. The mild valley is often a very pleasant place to be in the winter, gazing upon snowy peaks all around in the distance.

Winter is a great time to come to the Inn to rest and recharge, and our lower room rates make it more accessible! There are fireplaces in both parlors and the dining room and gas logs in most of our guest rooms.

Winter is also a great time to feast! Our chef and his staff will fill your bellies with warming delicacies and rich chocolaty dessert if you let them. With the savings from your lower room rate, consider treating yourself to a Chef’s Table with or without wine pairing. Also, massage is a great winter treat to warm your aching body and stimulate your circulation. Follow massage with a hot bath or soak in the Hot Springs…
